This role not only focuses on providing social assistance, but also building community self-reliance through sustainable and community participation-based programmes.
As part of the company’s sustainability team, the CDO ensures that Community Development (Comdev) programmes are aligned with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies, government regulations, as well as sustainability standards such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programme Planning and Implementation
Design, manage and evaluate community development programmes that are aligned with company policies and community needs.
Develop sustainability strategies for Community Development (Comdev) programmes based on best practices and ESG standards.
PROPER Documentation and Reporting
Prepare PROPER documents for the Community Development aspect, including the preparation of social impact assessments, programme implementation reports, and other supporting documents.
Ensure that the Comdev programme is in accordance with the PROPER indicators of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) as well as other standards such as ISO 26000 and SDGs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Community Empowerment
Coordinate with local government, NGOs, academics and communities in programme development and implementation.
Building partnerships with various parties to strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes that have a positive and sustainable impact.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (M&E)
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Comdev programmes using quantitative and qualitative methods.
Prepare periodic reports for internal company and external stakeholders.
Social Innovation and Sustainability
Develop social innovation initiatives in community empowerment programmes based on green economy and circular economy.
Analyse social challenges and provide strategic recommendations to improve programme sustainability.
QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum S1 education in Social Science
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Community Development Officer (CDO) or similar role in a company, NGO, or government institution.
- Experienced in preparing PROPER documents for Community Development aspects and have a deep understanding of ESG standards, SDGs, and CSR-related regulations.
- Good social analysis skills and experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating participatory-based Comdev programmes.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and community facilitation. Experienced in social research, social impact measurement (SROI, IKM or other methods), and data-driven approach in programme development.
- Have an understanding of environmental and social regulations in Indonesia relating to CSR and community empowerment.
- Able to work independently and in a team with various backgrounds of stakeholders.
- Willing to travel to the company’s assisted areas.

Junior Community Development Officer (JR. CDO) is an entry-level professional responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development (Comdev) programmes. This position aims to ensure the sustainability and positive social impact of the programmes run by the company in accordance with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, PROPER of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), and other government regulations.
As part of the sustainability and CSR team, JR. CDO will contribute to the preparation of PROPER documents on the Community Development aspect, coordinate with various stakeholders, and assist in the implementation of innovative and sustainability-based community empowerment programmes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum S1 education in the field of social science
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Community Development Officer (CDO) or similar role in a company, NGO, or government institution. (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply if they have internship or project related experience.)
- Experienced in preparing PROPER documents for Community Development aspects.
- Understand the concepts of CSR, ESG, and sustainability as well as national regulations related to corporate social responsibility programmes.
- Able to work in a team and have good communication and negotiation skills with communities and stakeholders.
- Have basic skills in programme monitoring and evaluation (data collection, interview, social impact analysis).
- Highly motivated to learn and develop in the field of community development and sustainability.
- Willing to travel to programme locations or assisted communities.

Researcher at Enviro Strategic Indonesia is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analyses related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), environmental sustainability, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. This position plays a role in producing data, strategic studies, and research-based recommendations that support client decision making, both from the private sector, government, and non-profit organisations.
As part of the research and data analysis team, the Researcher will conduct academic studies, field surveys, and prepare reports based on evidence-based research. Research results will be used in policy development, CSR strategy, programme impact evaluation, and preparation of sustainability documents such as PROPER, Sustainability Report (SR), and other ESG reports.
SCOPE OF WORK
A Researcher at Enviro Strategic Indonesia will focus on:
- Conducting research and data analysis related to sustainability, CSR, and social and environmental impacts.
- Prepare reports, policy briefs, and strategic recommendations based on scientific studies.
- Carry out data collection through interviews, surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and other research methods.
- Support the presentation of data for the preparation of PROPER documents in the aspects of Community Development, Sustainability Report, and ESG reporting.
- Contribute to social impact measurement and environmental impact assessment.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of programmes based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Coordinate with internal teams as well as external stakeholders in data collection and analysis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum S1 education in social and environmental sciences. Final semester students are welcome to apply if they have social and environmental research experience.
- Have a deep understanding of CSR, sustainability, ESG, and environmental and social regulations in Indonesia.
- Have skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including statistical data processing (SPSS, NVivo, or other analytical software).

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of CSR and environmental programmes, as well as explore aspects of sustainability such as PROPER and ESG. The programme provides hands-on experience in working with various stakeholders, conducting sustainability research, and compiling social and environmental impact reports.

SCOPE OF WORK
Interns at Enviro Strategic Indonesia will be involved in various tasks, including:
